We are currently hiring for our reputed customer for the following positions:
Position: ESG professional (Assistant Manager – Senior Manager level)
Location: Mumbai
Experience Required: 3– 4 Years
Qualification:
M.Tech / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering (Environmental Specialization) will also be considered
MBA / PGDM in Sustainability, ESG, Finance, or related discipline (added advantage)
Professional certifications such as GRI, SASB/FSA, TCFD, ISSB (IFRS S1/S2), CFA ESG Investing, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, or GHG Accounting are desirable
3-4+ years of relevant experience in ESG, Sustainability, Climate Risk, Environmental Management, or Responsible Business practices
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, environmental compliance, climate strategy, and stakeholder engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support ESG strategy implementation across business operations and projects.
Manage ESG reporting and disclosures in line with GRI, BRSR, TCFD, IFRS S1/S2, CDP, and other applicable frameworks.
Drive Climate Change and GHG management initiatives, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions accounting, target setting, and decarbonization planning.
Conduct biodiversity assessments, environmental screening, impact evaluations, and sustainability risk assessments for projects and investments.
Monitor and oversee Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMP) and Environmental & Social Action Plans (ESAP), ensuring compliance with regulatory and lender requirements.
Develop, validate, and maintain ESG data management systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and audit readiness.
Perform ESG performance analysis, benchmarking, materiality assessments, and sustainability KPI tracking.
Support sustainable finance initiatives, including ESG due diligence, green financing, sustainability-linked funding, and investor ESG queries.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, auditors, and external agencies for ESG assessments, reporting, and assurance activities.
Track emerging ESG regulations, sustainability standards, climate disclosure requirements, and industry best practices.
Prepare management presentations, sustainability reports, board updates, and stakeholder communications related to ESG performance.
Support capacity-building initiatives by conducting ESG awareness and sustainability training programs across the organization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance environmental performance, resource efficiency, climate resilience, and sustainable business practices.
