"This company purchased Temperature Control Inc., out of Traverse City," said city public works director Jeff Mikula. "They've done work with us in the past. They assisted the engineers in kind of diagnosing what was happening here, so we're very comfortable working with their staff." According to the contract found in the agenda packet for the meeting, the work will be substantially complete on or before May 15, and completed by May 29.

The city also received a bid of $141,500 from Hurst Mechanical. Both bids fell within the engineer's estimate range of $135,000 to $175,000.According to a Dec. 5 memo from Mikula to city manager Bill Gambill, the clean water recovery facility experienced an HVAC failure over the summer.
