Bengaluru-based D2C water purifier brand DrinkPrime has raised ₹20 Cr (approximately $2.2 Mn) in its extended Series A funding round, along with an undisclosed amount of debt. The round saw participation from new investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Artha Continuum Fund.

As per regulatory filings, the company approved the issuance of 21,718 Series A3 CCPS at a face value of ₹10 and a premium of ₹9,195 per share through a preferential allotment. This latest funding has pushed DrinkPrime’s valuation to ₹340 Cr (around $36.8 Mn), marking a 31% increase from its previous valuation of ₹260 Cr ($28.2 Mn). In 2024, the startup had raised $3 Mn in a round led by SIDBI Venture Capital along with existing investors.

The company plans to utilise the fresh capital to strengthen its IoT and data capabilities, scale its field service infrastructure, and invest in research and development as well as upcoming product launches. It also aims to expand into high-growth tier II cities, build its offline retail presence, and integrate AI-driven processes to enhance customer experience.

Commenting on the development, COO Sanjay Sunku said, “This capital will help us accelerate our growth as we scale DrinkPrime to 20 cities and work towards serving 1 million households over the next three years.”

Founded in 2016 by Manas Ranjan Hota and Vijender Reddy Muthyala, DrinkPrime offers subscription-based RO+UV water purifiers equipped with IoT technology. The brand allows customers to rent purifiers at an affordable monthly fee, addressing the high upfront costs and inefficiencies of traditional water purifier ownership models.

Its services start at ₹349 per month, inclusive of installation and maintenance. The company’s IoT-enabled purifiers are designed to adapt to varying water conditions across locations. Its product portfolio includes DrinkPrime Copper, DrinkPrime Alkaline, DrinkPrime UTS, DrinkPrime RO+, and DrinkPrime Under the Sink models.

DrinkPrime claims to have served over 2 lakh households across major urban markets. Financially, the startup has shown strong growth momentum, with revenue rising 54% to ₹72.1 Cr in FY25, compared to ₹46.8 Cr in the previous fiscal. At the same time, net losses narrowed by 18.4% to ₹11.5 Cr, down from ₹14.1 Cr.

The company is now targeting to cross ₹100 Cr in revenue by FY26 and achieve EBITDA profitability, driven by product innovation, expansion into new markets, enhanced customer experience, and a growing omnichannel presence.
