Unity IE World and Terrablu Partner to Develop Carbon and Water Credit Opportunities
Unity IE World (UIEW) and Terrablu Climate Technologies Pvt. Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing measurable environmental impact through carbon credit initiatives, water conservation and climate-focused technologies.
The collaboration combines Unity IE World's expertise in water, wastewater, environmental engineering and infrastructure development with Terrablu's capabilities in carbon accounting, digital monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV), and climate-impact assessment.
According to the partnership announcement, Unity IE World brings more than 25 years of industry experience, having undertaken over 690 projects across India, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. The organization's expertise spans water supply, wastewater management, sanitation and urban infrastructure.
Terrablu contributes climate-technology solutions focused on quantifying environmental benefits, improving transparency and supporting credible carbon credit development.
A key area of the partnership is exploring opportunities to make water conservation outcomes measurable and financially sustainable. The companies intend to investigate approaches that could link watershed restoration, groundwater conservation and ecosystem improvement with verifiable environmental benefits and potential water credit mechanisms.
Beyond water management, the collaboration also covers carbon-related projects involving agroforestry, biochar, biogas and low-carbon transportation, with activities extending across India and Kenya.
By integrating engineering expertise with digital measurement and verification technologies, the partnership aims to improve the assessment of sustainability projects and create opportunities for environmental financing.
The initiative reflects growing interest in connecting water security, climate action and measurable sustainability outcomes. Further details of the proposed water conservation and credit-generation framework are expected to be announced by the companies.
